| History of Scottsville Chapter #00201 |
||||
| The Scottsville Chapter of the Order of The Builders was instituted on March 4, 2001. The Chapter began with 6 members (Tyler Berry, Devin Stewart, Taylor Berry, John Ed Taylor, Isaac Hagan, and Colin Morgan) from the Bowling Green Chapter that live in Allen County. There were also 7 associate members that transferred their membership at that time. Today there are 26 Builders and 20 associate members. The members do many activities together such as camp-outs, sleepovers at the lodge, trips to Nolin Lake with the Builders from Brownsville. They went to Holiday World this past summer and will help at the Great Masonic Clean-up Day at the Masonic Home in Louisville in May. The Chapter has "adopted" Allen County Big Brothers & Big Sisters as their philanthropy. They have an annual car wash to raise money them and assisted them at the annual "Taste of Christmas" their yearly fund raiser. They also help Graham Lodge #208 with their annual car show. Each year the lodge allows them to pick a car of their choice and present the owner with a trophy. Each time, the owners have given each member a ride in their car. |
