Order of The Builders
Kentucky History
The Order of The Builders is Kentucky’s newest Masonic sponsored
youth organization in Kentucky.

Members from Pennsylvania and Illinois instituted the Kentucky
Chapter on October 29, 1995.  On December 29, 1996, Bowling Green
Chapter was chartered as an independent chapter.  The following
chapters were later chartered:  Henderson Chapter on March 22, 1998;
Somerset Chapter on April 19, 1998; Scottsville Chapter on March 4,
2001; and Sons of Solomon Chapter in Brownsville on January 26, 2003.

The Order has exclusive territorial jurisdiction within the
Commonwealth of Kentucky.  However, it is in fraternal accord with
Pennsylvania and Illinois Builders.

In 2005, the last Chapter of the Order of The Builders (New Castle #1) in
Pennsylvania closed.  The remaining members of that Chapter formed a
DeMolay Chapter named New Castle Builders Chapter, Order of
DeMolay.  The Advisory Council Chairman of the new DeMolay Chapter,
Scott Tressler, in true Masonic fashion, forwarded the remaining Builder
paraphernalia to the Kentucky Builders.  In turn the Kentucky Builders
sent a donation to the new Demolay Chapter to help them with their
new endeavors.  You will notice in the pictures of the Grand Chapter an
Altar Cloth and sashes on the Grand Chapter Officers.  These items
along with other items were sent from New Castle.

With the closure on the Pennsylvania, it is believed that Kentucky has
the only Builders Chapters remaining in the nation.
